Pricing Update

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

From the time we launched iVideosongs a year and a half ago, we have been very intentional about learning from our customers and the market in general. We pay close attention to what the folks that hit our website have to say as well as the feedback we get from iTunes and Amazon.

Today we are announcing new price points for our products. Artist songs will be $4.99 and instructor songs will be $2.99. Our catalogue is chock full of hit songs that represent some of the greatest musicians and songwriters of all time. We hope you will take advantage of the great value and quality of service we are offering and spread the word about iVideosongs.

Bone up on a few new tunes this summer and bust them out at the next party or BBQ. Anyone can listen to music. Players rule.

Dear iVideosongs,

I have been a fan since day 1 and love your content but it seems that you are either holding back or have run out of momentum. When can we expect to see new Artists? tutorials?

Is it possible to let us know how long each video segment is for each song (i.e., Russ Knunkle's Fire & Rain - how long is this video?)?

I agree, this is a great site but would like to see more artists. I think of you put on some Scorpions, Dokken, Iron Maiden, RATT, like you did with Judas Priest, it would take off like a rocket again. Thanks.

I agree with others, your site is fantastic. And the new price points seem too good to be true. What I would like to see is the ability to search for new material by instructor. This guy Steve Rieck is unbelievable. I would like to be able to come to the site and see if Steve has put any new material there. And then perhaps, "if you like Steve, check this out". Also, keep the Allman Brothers and Santana coming!

Hi. I purchased a couple of songs several months back, but that's all I could find that interested my in your very short - short list. When catering for a wide audience, you need hundreds of songs across the genres you offer, not just a few dozen. There's a guy on YouTube who does stuff like this, but he can churn out a couple of videos a week on his own. I reckon he's produced more songs in a couple of months than you have in 18 months. The free lessons are great, but forget the original artists, just churn out heaps of popular stuff please and I'll be back!
